The Rotary Club of Rutherglen is built on a simple idea: bring people together, create memorable experiences, and turn that energy into meaningful impact. Every event we deliver isn’t just a great day out, it’s a way of supporting our community.

Our much-loved Vintage Bike Ride is a perfect example. It invites locals and visitors alike to explore North-East Victoria’s wine country at a relaxed pace, dressed in vintage style and surrounded by good food, music and company. Behind the fun, this event raises vital funds supporting initiatives such as Saying NO to Domestic Violence and our local Country Fire Authority (CFA) - ensuring support reaches those who need it most.

Each year, we also proudly coordinate the Rutherglen district’s contribution to the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. With the incredible support of local emergency services, community groups, and volunteers, our town comes together to knock on doors, start conversations, and raise critical funds for children and families across Victoria. It’s a powerful reminder of what a connected community can achieve.

Then there’s the iconic Rutherglen Country Fair - one of Victoria’s largest and longest-running regional markets. Held over the June long weekend, the fair transforms the town into a vibrant hub of more than 200 stalls and thousands of visitors. But beyond the atmosphere and activity, every dollar raised is reinvested directly into our community - supporting youth exchange programs, local projects, and initiatives that bring people closer together.

From small moments to large-scale events, everything we do is driven by community spirit and a commitment to making a difference.
