About the Rotary Club of Rutherglen

There are around 1,100 Rotary Clubs in Australia and they are attended by about 30,000 Rotarians. They all play a part in the bigger picture that includes a network of 1.2 million Rotarians in nearly 33,000 Clubs around the world.

The Rotary Club of Rutherglen plays a small but important part in the huge network of Rotary clubs who work together to weave a strong fabric, celebrating diversity, understanding and service within an established framework. The Rotary Club of Rutherglen was sponsored by Corowa and chartered in 1987 (Club 55, District 9790). We currently have about 30 members who work tirelessly to help our local and international communities embracing and encouraging the Mission and values of Rotary.

Mission: We provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

Motto: "Service Above Self"

Our Four-Way Test: Our Four-Way test is a simple ethical framework to help us in our lives every day. Feel welcome to use it yourself - it's pretty simple: Of the things we think, say or do:

  • Is it the TRUTH?

  • Is it FAIR to all concerned?

  • Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

  • Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
