Occasionally a visit to a business is organised, previously this year a visit to the Bio Fuel plant at Barnawatha was done and a BBQ/ film night at the historic, Star theatre in Chiltern was enjoyed, they showed some old films made of the area in the 50’s. 16th September, a visit to Woolworths distribution centre at Barnawatha. Tim Keyes gave an account of the workings of the centre and we then had a tour of the facility, including the -24 degree cool room and the banana gas rooms. the building is 1 km long and 2500 trucks move goods in and out every week, to supermarkets from Canberra in the east, Seymour in the south, Swan Hill in the west and Griffith in the north.
