The Rotary Club of Rutherglen is the major sponsor of the of the Country Fair held on the Sunday of the long weekend in June.
During the June long weekend, the village of Rutherglen comes alive for the Country Fair, and the main street shows some of the crowd enjoying many different activities including barrel races, wine grape stomping, a huge range of stalls with both food and goods for sale.
The Rotary Club of Rutherglen has its own special activities during the weekend...

Muscat Run
On the Sunday morning the Muscat Run is a 10km run around the roads surrounding Rutherglen. The event attracts runners from all over Northeast Victoria and Southern New South Wales. There are several classes ranging from juniors to veterans.
Hole in One Golf
For the whole weekend, the club runs the hole in one golf tournament at Stanton and Killeens winery. This is a fun event where all budding golfers have a bucket of golf balls and try to get one in the hole about 100 metres away. The major prize is a barrel of Stanton and Killeens muscat - a very sweet drop.
