INTERNATIONAL DINNER
NOT HELD IN 2009
Every two years the International Service committee organise and sponsors a community dinner where the guest speaker is
usually from an overseas embassy.
In 2002 the dinner was held at Tuileries where the guest speaker was His Excellency Mr Joseph K H KOH, High Commissioner
for Singapore. Mr Koh spoke enthusiastically on Singapore - Australian relations. About 100 people attended the dinner.
Locally we have a very close link with Singapore, in that a major local employer QAF Meat Industries is Singapore owned.
In February 2004, Her Excellency Kate Lackey High Commissioner for New Zealand was guest speaker. Ms Lackay spoke to us
about the cultural differences between Australia and New Zealand. A very entertaining talk. Again the dinner was held at
Tuileries and again about 100 guests attended.
